During its formation stages, SWON Libraries is governed by a Transitional Executive Board. The members of that Board are:
The Transitional Executive Board meets monthly. Announcements of all meetings are on the SWON Libraries webpage. A council of all libraries meets on a semi-annual basis. These meetings will also be announced on the SWON Libraries webpage.
SWON Libraries will hold programs and events throughout the region that it serves. Meetings will be scheduled at times and locations that are most convenient to the members. Regular meeting sites have been investigated throughout the region. If you would like to recommend a site, please contact the Continuing Education Coordinator, Vicky Sweeney.
All GCLC Interest Groups have asked to continue under SWON Libraries. Each group will decide if it is appropriate to include the entire service area, or if it would be better to hold regional meetings. See the individual pages on each Interest Group on the SWON Libraries website for more information. All library staff are encouraged to participate in these free events and meetings.
The SWON Libraries members in the greater Cincinnati area have elected to continue the delivery service for the 2006-2007 program year in their area. Detailed information on the delivery service can be found on the SWON Libraries website.
New procedures for Direct Lend and Interlibrary Loan are in development and will have to be negotiated between the members.
The Media Resources Members are also in a transitional status. All members of the Division will continue for the 2006-2007 program year.
