Inter-Library Loan Interest Group - March 8, 2007 Meeting Notes

Inter-Library Loan Systems:
- Discussion of interlibrary loan systems ILLiad, Clio, OCLC and MORE.
Electronic and Print Versions:
- Discussed use of electronic journals when library owns both print and electronic versions.
- From copyright presentation in December of 2006 we learned that if the library owns both electronic and print we cause use the electronic copy for ill.
Delivery Service:
- Discussed SWON delivery service and use of SWON by non OCLC libraries this discussion lead us to review the SWON interlibrary loan website.
Interlibrary Loan Interest Group page
- We would like to see direct links to the items that are relevant to our group that is also listed under for members. Such as Direct Lend Contact List, ILL Contact List, ILL request form and the delivery service information.
- Do we need the bill of lading form? -- Group decided that since we no longer need to use the form we should not provide access to the form from the site.
- Our Interest Group page is also missing our policies.
Contact List:
- We would also like to update our contact list. We would like to see fax numbers, oclc codes (if applicable), supply status, and ILL operating system (i.e. clio). A list such as this would be helpful especially as we continue to add new members.
- We also discussed what the Ohio Link Contact looks like and wish for our list to reflect the organization of that list.
- We discussed creating two lists a quick reference and then a more detailed list.
