Register now to take part in the FIFTH ANNUAL SWON Libraries Teen Reading Challenge. The Challenge will run from January 15 through April 15, 2010.
This popular activity brings together the reading minds and eyes of librarians throughout the region. The Teen Reading Challenge is a great way to learn about the literature available for your teen patrons, to learn about publishing in this ever-emerging area, or just to help you to connect to your own kids!
The Challenge will officially begin on January 15 and we will ask you to close your books on April 15. At that time, we will compile the statistics and announce the winners. Register now to participate. Team and individual entries will be accepted. The goal is to read the highest number of books and pages of teen literature. Prizes will be awarded for most books read by a team, the highest average number of pages read by a team, best team effort, and best individual effort. All participants will receive a rated bibliography of all books read during the Challenge and a certificate of participation.
Each team member should register individually, but list all members of the team in the comments field of the registration form. If you don't have a team selected, register individually and we will find you a team. Here is the link to register to participate in the Challenge: http://www.swonlibraries.org/viewevent?id=1839
