SWON Libraries (Southwest Ohio and Neighboring Libraries) is seeking nominations for members of its Executive Board. The new Executive Board members will be elected at the Spring Membership Meeting on May 5, 2008. This call for nominations ends on March 31st to allow the Nominating Committee to comply with the established policies.
The SWON Libraries By-Laws stipulate that the twelve-member Executive Board composition represent all SWON Libraries member library types with no more than four members from any library type and a required number of representatives from each specific library type. (SWON Libraries By-Laws Article 2)
There will be four open Board positions to commence July 1, 2008. Per the By-Laws for Board representation, we are looking for nominations from school libraries, academic libraries, public libraries, and special libraries at this time.
