I would be more than happy to talk to them because we have had a delivery s=
ystem with bags for 25 years only the books go to our Regional Library Syst=
ems who sort the books. It would be very easy for them to adopt what we do =
here, in a smaller way. Just have them call me.

Subject: [Moving Mountains] Transporting Library Materials in Bags

Hi,

I have been in contact with a small group of libraries in NH that is consid=
ering expanding delivery services. I am showing them how we do it in North=
east Mass. Libraries ship unsorted totes to the courier who sorts and deli=
vers. As you can imagine, the courier company's responsibility for sorting=
 can be problematic at times.

I thought this group of 10-15 libraries should look into a system in which =
libraries presort materials into mailbag like bags and hire a courier to pi=
ckup and deliver to avoid the major sorting issues. Do any of you use a sy=
stem like this? Would you be willing to discuss your procedures/issues wit=
h these folks?

If you have another system that works for small groups, please let me know.

Thanks,
Greg
