Press Release

Colorado Library Consortium launches Library2Library, the market's first
comprehensive courier management system

Library2Library saves time, improves service and maximizes efficiencies
for library materials handling

September 25, 2007 - Englewood, CO - The Colorado Library Consortium is
pleased to announce its implementation of Library2Library, the first
highly scalable courier management and materials transportation system
designed specifically for libraries. Library2Library is a knowledgebase,
allowing staff to keep, update and access all courier and materials
handling information in one place. Library2Library was developed and
launched in conjunction with The Quipu Group, a library-specific
software development company based in Denver, CO.

The Colorado Library Consortium (CLiC) has been Quipu's development
partner, and first Library2Library customer. Lisa Priebe, CLiC Assistant
Director and project lead, worked closely with Quipu staff to help
create a courier management system that was adaptable to a variety of
materials transportation processes, and designed to build new
efficiencies. "Instead of spending time correlating a variety of
spreadsheets and hand-compiled stats, and tracking missing items by
phone and email, Library2Library allows us to focus on building an even
more efficient courier system, saving both time and dollars for our
staff and member libraries," states Priebe. Courier transactions cost
between .19 and .60 cents, among the lowest in the nation, based on an
informal survey of other library couriers.

Benefits for courier managers in Library2Library include many powerful
functions accessible through a single interface, and managers can
quickly get the information they need from a full report suite.
Inquiries on routes, delivery schedules, and billing can be viewed
online or downloaded into Excel, and reports are highly customizable to
each courier systems' needs. Library2Library includes a trouble ticket
system, routing slip creation, lost and damaged item management,
multilevel logins, and courier route and schedule management. Courier
systems may purchase individual modules, or may choose to do a full
implementation of Library2Library.
