Hello Jo-Ann,

You may want to look at the "Statewide Delivery" section of the State
Library of Ohio web page. The State Library contracts daily delivery
service through a local Ohio based vendor and the contracted libraries
pay for the service. This model is a flat rate structure based on the
number of delivery days per week of service (minimum of 2 & maximum of
5). The flat rate structure provides a consistent yearly cost regardless
of daily volume. We find this delivery system works very well in Ohio.

Here is the direct location of the delivery section:

Search the blue bar on the left side of the page for current pricing for
delivery service as well as other information regarding Statewide
Delivery.

Also, here is a link to the State Library of Ohio home web page:

Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional
information.

Thank you,

Subject: [Moving Mountains] paying for delivery service

Our system pays for daily delivery to 29 member libraries and 7
branches. Currently, the system pays all delivery costs.

Right now our volume is increasing significantly, and it looks like we
may have to add a 4th driver and sorter. We are looking at the
possibility of our member libraries helping to pay for this service.

Do any of you have any billing models you would be willing to share with
me? Do you charge your member libraries? If so, how much? By circ?
Service populations?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
