Summary:

Chloe Rodriguez is Motor Girl to her classmates. She has a chip on her shoulder, a cool Harley Davidson named Lolita she inherited from her beloved uncle Seth, a best friend named Rock, the local high school womanizer, and a failing grade in chemistry. To keep her motorcycle and pass chemistry, Chloe signs up for tutoring and gets paired with Gordon, a nerdy but hot, no-nonsense super student. Chloe finds Gordon a challenge and is determined to loosen him up. Rock fears he has been replaced and retreats into his brand of comfort while Chloe searches for answers to her own questions.

Evaluation:

Told with an honest and candid voice, this easy to read story has a good balance of serious and humorous moments to satisfy most young adult readers. The painful romance between Chloe and Gordon is handled well and her emotions are realistically portrayed. This one should be a hit.
