Attendees:
Anne Abate, Pat Radank, Sidnie Reed, Erin Smith, and Katy McBryan
Miscellaneous:
- SSIG will purchase generic plastic bags (500-1000) with the SWON logo to be used for our conferences and then to be used for other SWON activities.
- Need to determine the formula used for contact hours.
- Acknowledgement for regular attendees of the Fall and Spring symposiums beginning with Fall 2006; to be determined.
- Discussed ways to identify SSIG members—matching shirts or some type of name badge.
April 2007 Symposium:
- Offer scholarships to first time attendee $20.00 registration fee instead of $45.00
- Certificate of Attendance—include contact hours
- Lunch tables with job types—SSIG member would be present at each table
- ILL, Reference, Admin., Tech Services, Acq, Cat., Circ, Supervisors etc.
- Giveaway-acrylic cube as seen at EmbroideMe?
- First time attendee will also receive document bag
Fall 2007 Symposium:
- Receptions in Erlanger
- Scholarship for first time attendee, reduced registration fee to be determined.
Spring 2008:
- Begin checking for venues
Fall 2008:
- Educational Opportunities—run every 3 years
- Break out session for Educational Opportunities including MLS and undergrad programs and certificate—Anne will be in charge of this segment
- Public speaking session
