Technology Assistance

Consultation and Referral Services

We provide technology consultation and referral services to contributing member libraries at no additional cost. Services can be provided via email, phone, instant messaging, Skype, and on-site as needed. Examples of services include:

Direct Assistance

We can provide direct technology assistance for your library's technology projects and services. We typically charge for these services by the hour.

Custom Training

In addition to our scheduled technology workshops, SWON Libraries can create custom training for your institution and staff. Classes can be conducted at SWON Libraries' office or at your location. For hands-on training, we provide a portable, training lab.

Equipment Loans

Borrow our equipment for your in-house projects and training. Member libraries may use our 12 laptops for training, inventory, and temporary staff stations. The machines are currently configured with Windows XP and Office 2003.

We will deliver and set up our laptops at your place. Use of the lab is charged by the day and may be used up to 1 week. If needed, we will set up a temporary wireless network for Internet access. A projector and screen are also available.
