We will advertise these offers to the Directors of SWON Libraries members as they become available. Members are encouraged to provide suggestions for additional offers to pursue.

Regional Library Systems Vendor Discount Directory

The four Ohio Regional Library Systems offer discounts from leading library vendors directly to their members. SWON Libraries members are encouraged to take advantage of this system. More than 20 vendors offer discounts to Regional Library System members, including the large library suppliers (Brodart, Demco, Gaylord and Highsmith). Please contact the SWON Libraries staff if you would like us to attempt to negotiate with additional specific vendors.

Movie Licensing USA

Movie Licensing USA currently provides a 10% discount to SWON Libraries School library members. If additional schools want to be added to the list, the discount could increase.

Naxos

Naxos is the world's leading producer of classical music. They produce more new classical recordings than any other company, independent or major. Naxos Music Library offers not only practically all standard repertoire, but also an enormous range of specialist repertoire not available from other online sources. NetLibrary

More than a dozen SWON Libraries members participate in a shared collection of NetLibrary online titles. This offer is only open to new libraries during the renewal window. Contact the SWON Libraries Office is you are interested in participating in the next purchase or in other NetLibrary product offerings.

PBS Video

SWON Libraries members receive a 10% discount on PBS Video orders. You can place your order directly through the local rep (Gene Christopher). Just mention that you are a SWON Libraries member and the discount will apply. If anyone is contemplating a larger purchase ($1000 or more), please inform the SWON Libraries office. The discount will actually go up incrementally if orders are pooled. We could get as much as 25% off with an order over $5000!

Tantor Audiobooks

Tantor offers a generous 40% discount and free shipping for SWON Libraries members. Standing Order Plans are also available with a discount of 43%, with the introductory order of the Standing Order Plan at a 50% discount.

Baker & Taylor, the nation's leading supplier of books and related cataloging and processing services, offers a discount to SWON Libraries members on all library materials and related services. Contact the SWON Libraries office for details regarding the discount.

Thorndike

SWON Libraries members receive a 20% Discount and Free Shipping on individual title orders from Thorndike. This discount does not apply to sale items or any item that has more than a 20% discount. In order to take advantage of this offer, use promo L2790. The Imprints covered under this discount include Thorndike Press, Wheeler Large Print, Kennebec Large Print, and Five Star (first edition )regular print. SWON Libraries members are also eligible for a 25% discount and free shipping on most of their standing order plans. There is also a 40% discount on standing order plans for the Kennebec Large Print titles.

World Trade Press

World Trade Press is a publishing company specializing in topics of international trade, development, culture and cartography. The company offers country-based e-content for libraries, universities and secondary schools on a subscription and license basis for modest fees. All SWON Libraries members are entitled to a 30% discount on the content fees. Contact the SWON Libraries office for additional details and publisher information.

WT Cox Subscriptions

SWON Libraries members are eligible for a discount with WT Cox Subscriptions. School districts will receive a 15% discount (or higher, depending on the specific list of titles). Public libraries will receive a 6% discount (or higher, depending on the specific list of titles). Academic and special libraries will be provided with serial management services at the modest service fee of up to 4%. ACLS Humanities E-Book

SWON Libraries members receive a significant discount on the ACLS Humanities E-Book product. This electronic resource includes 1700 full-text, cross-searchable books in the humanities selected for their continuing importance to students and scholars. Contact the SWON Libraries office for more details on this discount.

Kompass USA

With 65 years of international experience and locations in 66 countries, Kompass is a world leader in global B to B information services. Kompass is a comprehensive in-depth and accurate B to B international database listing more than 2.4 million international and domestic companies. Kompass can be used as a tool for searching for company information, business research on a particular international company, create business leads, market research and boost international trade. Morningstar

Morningstar is pleased to offer a 25% discount on Morningstar Investment Research Center to SWON Libraries members. The Morningstar database offers easy-to-understand data and analysis on more that 23,500 funds, 8,500 stocks and 800 ETFs. OVID Technologies

SWON Libraries members receive a significant discount on database products from OVID Technologies. There are packages for hospitals and medical schools, as well as smaller groupings for nursing schools and academic libraries without medical schools.

3M RFID Equipment and Supplies

SWON Libraries has negotiated a discount with 3M Corporation that applies to all equipment and supplies for RFID systems. (This offer does not apply to Tattle Tape Security products.)

Compendium Library Services

Compendium Library Services offers a product called Reference Desk Tracker, a hosted service that provides customizable data entry forms and graphical reporting for central tracking of activity at public service points. The group discount rates are based on the number of participating libraries.

They are also a publisher and distributor of collections on microfilm and in digitized formats. Serials Solutions

To help you enhance the value and impact of your library, Serials Solutions offers a a variety of savings programs to SWON Libraries members. These offers cover Serials Solutions 360, Ulrichâ€™s, or WebFeat service and can provide tremendous savings for libraries. ShillerMath

SWON Libraries members 20% discount on all bar code labels. Symbology offers a wide range of bar code-related products and services. Vernon Library Supplies offers all SWON Libraries Members special consortium pricing which is 20% off level 2 products and 10% off level 1 products.
