Jennifer Blagg has practiced law for over 8 years and recently started a private practice. Prior to becoming an attorney, Jennifer worked as a Human Resources professional for 7 years. She also is an online instructor for two colleges. Through these channels Jennifer has become proficient on what it takes to effectively communicate and how to apply facilitation techniques to engage an audience.

How many times have you wondered, am I getting my point across? are these students taking away the right information? This course will address the importance of the meeting facilitator. Our course will address the purpose of facilitation, how to effectively facilitate a meeting and the best practices to engage our listeners. Participants will dive into applied theories as well as real-world best practices that can applied in their places of work.

What is facilitation?

How can a facilitator engage his/her audience?

Are there current "best practices" that we can review to gain a better understanding of meaningful facilitation techniques?

What theories exist that we can apply in our work practices?

Are there any resources available for further research?

Audience

This seminar is designed for all professionals who are currently responsible for facilitating meetings, or for professionals who need to learn these skills in order to engage an audience. Participants do not need to have experience with facilitating meetings in order to participate. This is an introductory seminar.
