John Schlipp, Assistant Professor of Library Services and Extended Collections Services Librarian, Northern Kentucky University, is responsible for copyright compliance of interlibrary loan, electronic reserves, distance learning, and faculty inquiries. He has been active in intellectual property, as the Patent & Trademark Librarian at the Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County and, before that, as manager of the document delivery department of the Procter & Gamble Research Library in Mason, Ohio. John is a member of the ALA affiliate Patent & Trademark Depository Library Association. Recently he received a grant from the Cincinnati Bar Foundation to provide an educational intellectual property awareness program for regional schools entitled Creative Thinking.

Find out about student intellectual property awareness, films and standards-based lessons prepared by NKU’s Steely Library and regional community partners. Topics: honesty/plagiarism, ethical/legal discussions, and respect/copyright concerns.
